Three grapplers reach finals; team ties for fourth in annual Don Wasserbeck Classic at North Union

It was not quite the finish North Union wrestling coach Garret Andrews was looking for last Saturday at the Don Wasserbeck Classic wrestling tournament.

“We finished fourth overall and that is an improvement when you look back at last year’s results,” Andrews said.

It probably would not have much of a difference in regards to a higher place, but the Wildcats struggled for victories in the later matches.

“We had three finalists and all had tough matchups at the end,” Andrews said. “Wrestling in the spotlight and having that intensity was good for us.”

The Wildcats finished 153.5 points to tie Columbus South for fourth …
