NU alumnus returns to the mat as a wrestling official

During a good part of Don Wasserbeck Classic wrestling tournament, the Wasserbeck family has been an integral part of it.

Starting in 1974, the tournament has been a fixture each year at North Union and the Wasserbeck entourage.

Don and Bev Wasserbeck, along with their children and other family members would all do their part in making a smooth-running tournament.

In the beginning with all results being done by hand and even now with the technology, it has still pretty much remained a family affair.

However, this year’s tournament added another phase into the family business.
