NU girls basketball claims win over London

A fourth quarter free-throw shooting barrage led North Union to a 48-40 victory over London last Wednesday at London.

The Lady Cats (3-0) led 30-29 going into the final stanza.

They outscored London 18-11 in the quarter, netting 14 of their 19 free throws.

Kennedy Harrah led the way, sinking eight-of-nine from the charity stripe.

North Union scored just four points in the first quarter and trailed 20-18 at the half.

Harrah finished the game with 12 points, tying Glory Blevins for team-high honors. Gabby Lindsey notched 10 points and Kailyn Colegrove added seven markers.

North Union won the junior varsity game 36-24.

Sam Price led the Lady Cats with 13 points while Reeslyn Riffle totaled eight points.
