State signs off on CDBG money for Richwood

The State of Ohio has now approved its part in efforts to get funding to Richwood and other small communities through the federal government’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.

While there were concerns regarding the status of funding and the program as a whole, approval of the grants from the county commissioners back in August and now from Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine’s office last week all but confirms that the money is on its way. “With this funding, we’re strengthening the foundations of our communities,” said DeWine in a Nov. 14 press release. “These projects will improve water and sewer systems, upgrade local parks and streets, and help ensure every Ohioan — and every family — can live in a safer, stronger neighbo…
