NU runners compete in regional C.C. meet

North Union’s cross country program was represented during last weekend’s regional meet.

The top five teams in the boys meet qualified for the state while the top eight girls teams qualified.

Members from neither boys’ and girls’ crews qualified for the OHSAA state meet.

North Union finished 20th in the Division III boys race. All races were held at Pickerington North High School.

Running for the Wildcats were Ben Bonnell (56, 17:15.24), Felix Plouck (101, 17:56.79), Mack Marlette (145, 18:32.16), Jack Hoover (184, 19:01.95), Zach Meyer (185, 19:02.09), Colton Smith (233, 19:41.37) and Drew Chadwell (276, 22:34.32)

North Union had two runners compete in the Division III girls race but did not qualify for the state meet.

Kailin McElroy was 35th (20:07.32) and Josie Held was 234th (25:26.98).
