North Union knew going into the game the pressure would be on the Wildcats as they hosted Springfield Shawnee last Friday in a Central Buckeye Conference contest.

NU needed a win against Shawnee to keep its hopes of a league title alive along with a possible home game in the first round of the Division V playoffs.

On the other side, the winless Braves could play free and easy with a hope of upsetting the Wildcats.

The latter did not happen as North Union scored the first 34 points of the game and went on to defeat Shawnee 48-14.

The win pushed the Wildcats to an overall record of 6-3 and 3-1 in the CBC.
