NU runners qualify for Regional meet

North Union will be represented on Saturday at the regional cross country championships at Pickerington North High School.
The program competed this past Saturday in district championships hosted at Hilliard Darby.
The top five teams in each district qualify for the regional meet.
North Union boys team qualified in Division III.
The North Union boys were in the Section Two race and finished in third place with 105 points.
Ben Bonnell paced the Wildcats with an eighth-place finish in the time of 17:22.26.
He was followed by Felix Plouck (15, 18:17.26), Mack Marlette (25, 19:13.27), Jack Hoover (30, 19:35.02), Colton Smith (36, 20:19.01), Zach Meyer (39, 20:51.50) and Drew Chadwell (45, 23:00.00).
In the girls Division III Section One race, North Union’s Kailin McElroy finished second with a time of 20:39.23.
The top eight individual runners not on a qualifying team advanced to the regional meet.
Josie Held also ran for the Lady Cats and finished 39th with a time of 29:27.27.
