Local promoted from lieutenant colonel to colonel

A promotional celebration was held for a two Richwood natives including one who achieved the rank of colonel in the U.S. Army this past weekend.

On Oct. 4, the community held an event to mark the promotion of Kelly Green to the rank of colonel and the reenlistment of Brennan Griffith at the North Union Veterans Memorial.

Green commissioned into the Army in 2004 after earning a bachelor of science degree in nursing at the University of Akron and is a graduate of the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth. She currently serves as the chief nurse and chief of clinical operations for the 44th Medical Brigade and has been selected to become the next chief nurse…
