Wildcats bounce back in major fashion in home opening victory over Liberty Union

There was one word the North Union coaches wanted to get to their football players following last week’s three-point loss to Pleasant.

“I thought the word of the week was respond and I think they did that at a pretty good level tonight,” North Union head football coach Nick Hajjar said.

They dominated. That domination led to six touchdowns on all six of their first-half possessions on offense and, except for one play, the defense was equally as strong.

All that led to a 44-7 halftime lead and ultimately a 44-14 victory over Liberty Union on Friday in nonleague play at North Union.
