Stolen Yorkie found in Marion

A local Yorkie puppy has been safely returned home to its owner after being stolen earlier this month.

Around 3:30 p.m., Aug. 20, Union County Sheriff Mike Justice said that the stolen puppy was recovered after detectives from the sheriff’s office executed a search warrant in the City of Marion. The five-week-old Yorkshire Terrier, whose owner newly named “Zeus,” was returned home in good health.

On Wednesday, Aug. 13, a deputy responded to a home in the 28000 block of Storms Road to investigate the theft of a Yorkie dog, according to sheriff’s reports. At the time, officials said that the investigation was ongoing.
