Council prepares to pave village streets

Richwood Council is preparing to put out a bid package to pave multiple village streets, including Blaine Avenue, George Street, Edgewood Drive and West Blagrove.

According to bid proposals received from H& S Paving at the regular council meeting on Monday, the proposal to pave Blaine Avenue, George Street and Edgewood Drive was $197,000. Village Administrator Monte Asher said the village would look at the cost of adding West Blagrove.

The list of priority streets was determined through help with H& S Paving, Asher said. The order of importance was listed starting with Blaine Street – 28,600 square feet, George Street – 36,300 square feet, Edgewood Drive – 28,000 square feet, Richwood Park south entrance – 9,…
