UCHD plans Overdose Awareness Day

The Union County Health Department will recognize Overdose Awareness Day later this month.
“Talking about drug addiction and overdose is a subject often relegated to whispers. But the damaging impact it has on individuals and families is anything but quiet,” the department said in a press release. “It can isolate and destroy families. But together we can provide hope and help.”
The Union County Drug Overdose Prevention Coalition is leading local events to showcase the hope and help available within the community. The coalition kicks off its efforts with a presence at the Richwood Farmers Market on Aug. 21 from 4-7 p.m. On Aug. 28 the coalition will host a lunch hour reco…
