Wildcats kick off official team activities with Midnight Madness

Some believe that nothing good comes after midnight, but those involved with North Union’s football program beg to differ.

While residents of Richwood were fast asleep, the Wildcats brought their energy to the practice field at the high school to kick off the first day of official practices.

The team arrived for practice prior to midnight and began practice at 12:01 a.m. on Friday.

“I think it’s just different,” NU Head Coach Nick Hajjar said. “You kind of get out of that summer mode and now everybody has the same time clock and the urgency picks up.”
