Sluggers ask for funding in wake of ball field flooding

The North Union Little League is looking for help from village council to fund the repair of the boy’s baseball diamond, which has seen flooding issues that have led to the sluggers having multiple delayed games.

At the regular meeting of Richwood Council on Monday, Kelly Monroe came before council representing North Union Little League. He said that they have been having issues with rain shutting down the field for multiple days in its current state.

“We’re here looking for some funding, either by grant or by the village for upgrading,” Monroe said.

He introduced Chase and Tanner Anspach of Anspach Brother’s Lawn Care, who would be hired to do the work.
