Progress made on Mill Creek

The water levels along Mill Creek are looking “significantly better,” according to Union County Engineer Jeff Stauch.

That’s a direct result, he said, of the thousands of logjams being cleared out of the waterway as part of the logjam cleanup effort.

Stauch, along with Brent Nickel and Joe Eads with the Union Soil and Water Conservation District (USWCD), gave the county commissioners an update on the project’s progress on July 23 . According to the group, crews have cleared properties in the city and have made their way outside the limits.
