A pleasant surprise was given to Mrs. Mary Ellen Eddy last Wednesday evening when her grand children and their families came and served ice cream and cake in honor of her eightieth birthday anniversary. She received many nice presents. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Guy Riley Jr. and daughter, Olive, Vernon Wood, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Vance and daughter, Mary Madeline, D.M. Eddy, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bonner and daughter, Ernestine, John Hopkins, Mr. and Mrs. Murl Wood and children, Evelyn and Gerald, William Curl, Mr. and Mrs. Urcel Eddy and the guest of honor.
