Auditors talk property tax relief

There could be solutions to the ever-increasing property taxes in Ohio but a number of county auditors said it has to begin with the legislature listening to the people.

A group of Ohio county auditors, who spoke at a press conference on property tax reform recently, all shared that sentiment. The County Auditors Association of Ohio (CAAO) offered a presentation to the public on some “low hanging fruit” options to help with property tax relief, an issue that has been on the minds of local and state officials for the last several years. Over the last year, the CAAO members have been taking the presentation around the state to better inform the public on the options.
