Fair assessment of Union County

Should Union County have two fairs or only one? If just one, where should it be?

Those were questions the team from the Union County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Institute offered to the county commissioners at the board’s regular meeting on June 11. The team discussed their latest research project, which was to investigate the pros and cons of potentially combining the Union County Fair and Richwood Independent Fair or keep them as two separate events.

While the team’s goal for the project wasn’t to find a solution per se, they did conclude that something will need to change soon. What that is isn’t exactly clear yet and would ultimately be up to …
