One dies in Logan County car crash

Recently, troopers from the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol were dispatched to a fatal three-vehicle head-on crash on Route 117 just north of the intersection at County Road 222 in the village of Huntsville in Logan County.

The preliminary investigation revealed a Tesla Model 3, operated by Taylor Stanchin, 28, Leo, Indiana, and a 2023 Volkswagen Taos, operated by Ephantus Osoro, 33, Chillicothe, were traveling southbound on Route 17. A 2024 Kia Soul, operated by Ashley Thomas, 37, Bryan, was traveling north on Route 117. The Volkswagen failed to leave assured clear distance ahead and struck the rear of the Tesla.
