North Union FFA Agronomy teams win state titles

The North Union FFA participated in the Agronomy Career Development Event (CDE) state competition on March 22 at the Ohio State Fairgrounds.

The Agronomy CDE contest consists of identifying different types of plants, insects and diseases. A written test is given to students, which includes questions about plants, insects, diseases, soils and mathematical questions. A team activity is also conducted, which provides a scenario about an imaginary field where the team has to pick the proper seed, fertilizer, pesticide, herbicide and insecticide that will go on the field.
