NUMS track program takes fifth in home track invitational

North Union Middle School finished fifth in both the boys and girls meets of the North Union Middle School Invitational.

Lily Hall and Joseph Wiley each earned a first-place finish for the Wildcats.

Hall won the 100 hurdles with a time of 18.51 seconds while Wiley led the 800 field with a school-record winning time of 5:04.21.

Wiley took second in the 800m run, the boys 4×200 team of Griffin Wills, Jason McCoy, Devyn Cox and Hayze Miller was second, the boys 4×400 team of Wiley, Dillon Glick, Cox and Miller, Luke Mask was second in the shot put, the girls 4×800 of Tinlee Martino, Kellyn Ufferman, Miri Taylor and Chloe McElroy was second, Ashlynn Stineman took fourth in high jump, Mua’au Si’ufanua second in long jump, Katie Spellman was third in pole vault, Kellyn Ufferman took second in discus and fourth in shot put.
