Man receives drug charges after pursuit

A man from outside of the county is facing drug charges after fleeing in a police pursuit.

The Union County Grand Jury is charging Dustin Scott Harris, 45, of Forest, with two counts of aggravated possession of drugs and one count of possession of a fentanyl-related compound.

According to court documents, at 11:38 a.m., Oct. 9, 2024, the Marysville Police Department received a call stating that a small black vehicle was swerving all over the roadway.

An officer located the vehicle on U.S. 33 near Route 4, a 2002 Dodge four-door, and a traffic stop was conducted.
