Richwood man charged with assault at mini mart
A Richwood man is facing as many as eight years in prison for assaulting another man in the village.
The Union County Grand Jury is charging Dondre Ken Yon Matthaw Deal, 27, whose court-listed address is 105 Forest Lane in Richwood, with one count of felonious assault of the second degree, which carries a maximum sentence of eight years.
According to court documents, on Feb. 23, 2025, Deal and another male were in the Richwood Mini Mart at the same time. The male approached Deal in the store and they began to had a conversation. Deal then took a step away from the male, turned back around to face him and continued to speak to him.
