North Union wrestling programs experience growth at the conclusion of winter season

North Union’s boys and girls wrestling programs grew together in unique ways.

“I would say for a lot of kids it was growth in a couple of different ways,” NU Head Coach Garrett Andrews said about the theme of this past season. “I think a big part of that, because the kids were so young, that they had a lot of room to grow.”

While the boys program showed growth in experience, the girls participation grew much more with the addition of nine Lady Cats to room.

Andrews saw improvements throughout the season starting with how the team competed at the start and towards the end of the regular season. The team’s overall maturity seemingly increased with each match that went by.
