North Union saw two of its grapplers from the boys program compete in the Division III district tournament in Troy last weekend.

Graham, which captured numerous state championships over the years in D-II prior to dropping down to D-III, earned top team honors in the district with 299.5 points.

Rounding out the top 10 were Miami East-109, Mechanicsburg-95.5, Elgin-89.5, Indian Lake-86.5, Versailles-78, Northmor-76, Covington-60, Lima Central Catholic-52 and Preble Shawnee-51.

North Union had two wrestlers compete in the district.

Wyatt Stacklin (106) suffered a 17-0 technical fall setback to Liberty Union’s Parker Frakes during the second consolation round.

Stacklin advanced to the second consolation bout by pinning Paulding’s Landon Shartzer in 47 seconds during the first consolation.

The Wildcats’ 175-pounder, Heath Ferguson, was pinned in 58 seconds by Miles McDornman of Allen East in the same round.

Ferguson scored a 15-0 tech fall over Charlie Million of Preble Shawnee during first consolation action.

The Wildcats tallied 5.5 points to finish in 45th place in the district.
