Wildcats start strong but fall short to Falcons

North Union got off to a fast start but could not maintain the momentum and lost 55-49 to Graham last Friday in Central Buckeye Conference boys basketball play at Graham.

The Wildcats (9-9 overall, 6-2 CBC) led 21-8 at the end of the first quarter. They still led 30-21 at the half but Graham (4-14, 2-6) posted a 34-19 advantage in the second half.

Nickolas Hajjar led North Union with 20 points while Miles Hall netted 12 points.

Adam Levy had 17 points to pace Graham.

North Union returns to action on Tuesday as it hosts Kenton.

North Union

Jolliff 1-0-3, Lindsey 2-0-4, Hajjar 8-0-20, Kyte 3-0-6. Krebehenne 2-0-4, Hall 5-0-12. Three-point goals: Hajjar 4, Hall 2, Jolliff.

Graham

Powell 2-3-7, Jenkins 5-0-12, Smith 0-2-2, Reisinger 6-0-12, Traylor 1-0-3, McLeon 1-0-2, Levy 5-6-17. Three-point goals: Jenkins 2, Traylor, Levy.

Only two quarters were played in the junior varsity game and North Union won 26-15. Dainon Lindsey led the Wildcats with 12 points.
