Village eyes new sidewalk

Richwood officials have set their sights on adding a new sidewalk in the village.

At the recent meeting of village council, Tamisha Matus, Project Manager with the Union County Health Department, discussed a new sidewalk project that she is working toward for the village.

She said the proposed path would connect the Richwood Park, the Richwood Greene, the civic center and food pantry to area businesses.

“It’s for safe access to the uptown village area,” Matus said.

The planning committee on the project, which includes Matus, is conducting a feasibility study to hear from residents to determine the safest and most efficient path to businesses uptown.
