NUMS basketball teams collect wins

North Union Middle School hoopsters had a busy week filled with ups and downs.

North Union notched a pair of wins in the Central Buckeye Conference girls basketball tournament last Monday at North Union.

The seventh-grade Lady Cats (10-5) defeated Bellefontaine 31-21. Nuna Baker netted 16 points and Miri Taylor chipped in with eight rebounds.

Kellyn Ufferman tallied 11 points in leading the eighth-grade team (12-2) to a 30-13 victory over Jonathan Alder. Jenna Berridge grabbed seven rebounds.
