Area torado siren test set for Feb. 5

On Feb. 5, Union County will conduct its monthly tornado siren test beginning at noon. During this test, both the Union County Sheriff’s Office and the Marysville Division of Police will activate the sirens, resulting in two brief siren activations within an estimated five-minute period. This additional test is being conducted to address and verify the resolution of a previously identified issue.

As a reminder, the regular testing schedule for tornado sirens in Union County is as follows: weekly tests on Wednesdays at noon from April through September and monthly tests from October through March.
