NUMS hoopsters collect victories

North Union Middle School’s basketball teams were able to collect wins a series of games last week.

Boys

The NUMS boys basketball team went 2-2 last week in games against Indian Lake and Benjamin Logan.

The seventh-grade team, lost 28-25 to Indian Lake and came back to defeat Benjamin Logan 36-29.

Logan Mask was the leading scorer for North Union both game, scoring 21 against Indian Lake and 20 against Benjamin Logan.

The eighth-grade went the same route as the seventh-grade team, losing to Indian Lake 47-38 and then defeating Benjamin Logan 49-28.

Dom Hainline was the leading scorer against Indian Lake with 11 points while Alex Jolliff posted 13 points against Benjamin Logan.

Girls

The Lady Cats notched two wins against Indian Lake.

The seventh-grade team won 31-10. Nuna Baker had nine points and Tara Fout added eight points.

The eighth-grade team posted a 44-10 victory. Tinlee Martino netted 24 points and Chloe McElroy notched 12 points.
