Wildcat grapplers take fifth at Toledo Woodmore A Classic

North Union earned a fifth-place finish this past weekend in the Toledo Woodmore A Classic wrestling tournament.

The Wildcats had seven wrestlers finish in the top eight in earning 132 points. Woodmore was the team champion with 225 points.

Each division started with pool play and then moved to a bracket tournament.

Cory Gillium and Heath Ferguson led North Union, each finishing second in their respective weight divisions.

Gillium was second at 150, recording three wins in pool play. He then picked up wins in the quarterfinal and semifinal brackets before losing Landen Roeder of Monroeville by pin in the championship bout.<...
