Union County gets snow day

After a week of anticipation, Union County saw the first of this year’s winter storms and for some local officials, the area was fortunate.

Despite the weather that entered the state early in the day Sunday, reaching the central Ohio area after dark, Union County Engineer Jeff Stauch said things were pretty quiet for the start of the day.

“Actually, everything is looking pretty standard. We’re getting along OK,” he said. “ Fortunately, we received a lot less snow than some of the areas south of us so that helps a lot.”
