Union County budget up nearly 5% for 2025

Union County passed its general fund budget for 2025, looking at a bit of an increase from this year to the next.

County commissioners recently approved the measure at $36.5 million with a 4.8% increase from the revised budget of $34.9 million for 2024.

County Administrator Bill Narducci said the review and approval process was fairly straightforward with few adjustments. He said there have been changes though much of the increases come from typical places like the rising cost of insurance and staffing, both in terms of salaries and numbers of employees that get contributions from the general fund.
