North Union settles on school calendar

North Union officials have agreed on the 2025 – 2026 school year calendar, opening up discussion about how future school calendars are decided.

At the regular meeting of the board on Monday, board President Brian Davis said the difference with the agreed school calendar compared to the other options is that the day after The Richwood Independent Fair would no longer be a day off.

“Day after the fair is going away, it’ll be a school day and that’ll move to the end of the year. The last day of school will be (May) the 27th with a teacher workday the 28th,” Davis said.
