Wildcat hoopsters fall to visiting Marion Pleasant
A visiting Pleasant basketball team got off to quick starts in three of the four periods played at North Union last Tuesday.
However, it was a strong fourth-quarter finish that cemented a 57-49 victory by the Spartans over the Wildcats.
A free throw by NU’s Tyler Krebehenne with just over two minutes left in the final frame left the Wildcats trailing 51-49.
Pleasant scored the final six points, all by Avery Hamper, to get its first win of the season.
“We had our chances at the end, but we didn’t come away with points,” NU head coach Austin Terrill said. “We spotted them points early in the game.”
