North Union wrestling teams garner many newcomers for 2024-25 season

North Union’s boys and girls wrestling teams have a lot of young bloods heading into the winter season.

That also means they have a lot to learn. But Head Coach Garrett Andrews is excited, nonetheless.

Andrews emphasized this year’s offseason was one of his best as far as generating interest from young athletes. Not coaching football this past fall made it so he could focus on wrestling and prepare his boys and girls teams for the winter.

“We have kids that have never wrestled before showing up just because they had a chance to see what it was like,” he noted.
