In the photo below, North Union’s Miles Hall drives in for a layup during a scrimmage session against Ridgedale. Both the boys and girls basketball programs hosted preseason scrimmages last week with the Lady Cats squaring off against the Falcons of Riverdale and the Wildcats taking on Shekinah Christian and Ridgdale. The boys team begins the regular season on Dec. 3 and the girls team will start the season Friday. (Gazette photos by Aleksei Pavloff)
