Early voting total tops Election Day numbers

Early voting was strong in Union County. Officials said the strong early turnout made for a smooth Election Day. Election officials said this is the first time they can remember early voting topping the day of voting. If a ballot cannot be read by the machine, for whatever reason, the ballot is remade and resubmitted.
