NU volleyball squad reaches district final, falls to top-seeded Madison-Plains

The North Union volleyball season came to an end last Saturday.

Playing in their first Central District final since 2020, the Lady Cats, the tournament’s third seed, could not get anything going and lost in three sets, 25-19, 25-23, 25-19, to top-seeded Madison-Plains at Granville High School.

North Union finishes the season with a 15-10 record.

Finding ways to get into the lead against Madison- Plains proved elusive for the Lady Cats.

When it stepped up to the service line North Union had the lead just five times in the match, all in the first set. The longest scoring run for the Lady Cats was five points.
