Lady Cats take third, boys take 10th in Ohio Caverns Invitational

The North Union’s cross country program competed Saturday in the West Liberty Salem Ohio Caverns Invitational.

North Union finished third in the girls meet and 10th in the boys meet.

The Lady Cats placed three runners in the top 11 on their way to scoring 96 points.

Kennedy Ludwig led the way, finishing seventh in the time of 21 minutes, 14 seconds. Kailin McElroy finished 10th at 21:40.

Also running were Savannah Amstutz (32nd, 24:06), Allana Smith (47th, 25:09) and Josie Held (62nd, 26:42).

Felix Plouck was North Union’s top placer in the boys meet, finishing 27th in the time of 18:07.

He was followed by Mack Marlette (70th, 20:24), Max Leavitt (84th, 21:00), Drew Chadwell (92nd, 21:36), Jack Hoover (92nd, 21:36) and Colton Smith (108th, 22:17).
