Lady Cats take second in Farmbanks Panther Invite

Fairbanks took first place in both the boys and girls meet on Tuesday in the Fairbanks Panther Invitational.

The Panthers totaled 47 points in the boys meet, edging out Pleasant by two points, and counted 51 points in the girls meet, defeating second- place North Union by five points.

The Panthers’ Zeke Gingerich was the individual champion with a winning time of 16 minutes, 37.71 seconds. Starting at 10th, Fairbanks had six straight placers.

They were Andrew Hall (18:22.88), Daniel Thomas The 8-play, 92-yard drive came after Raiders coach Antonio Pierce elected to punt on fourthand- 1 at the Chargers 43 instead of going for it.
