Mitchell-Dewitt roundabout is open
The roundabout at Mitchell-Dewitt and Industrial Parkway opened.
Union County Engineer Jeff Stauch said work was nearly completed last week, which started at the end of May, and what is left is mostly minor checklist items.
Crews worked through landscape details last week though Stauch said things will likely pause until October, then striping went down between the end of last week and Monday of this week.
“Light poles are up but the electrification has to happen so URE (Union Rural Electric) can turn on the lights. We don’t want to go on without those being lit,” Stauch said. “We hope to have it open Wednesday of next week, so we’ll be very pleased and we’ll see how it all works. It looks re…
