Lady Cats rebound from first set loss against West Jefferson

After losing the first set to West Jefferson on Monday, the North Union volleyball team found all the right combinations to sweep the next three sets in a 22-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-8 victory.

It was not hard to find out a key number that led to the Lady Cats’ nonleague win. The Lady Roughriders had 49 serve rotations. In 90 percent of them they had two or less chances to score points.

North Union (3-2) did not always take advantage of its offensive chances through the first three sets.

But in the fourth set the pressure it put on defensively finally took its toll.
