Second hearing wraps on Richwood Solar

The second and final hearing for the Richwood Solar project finished last week and now residents will have to wait for final word on the project moving forward.

Union County residents, elected officials and staff gathered at the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio in Columbus last week as both locals and representatives from Samsung testified on the proposed solar project south of Richwood.

The hearing, which stretched across three days, offered the last bit of input, for and against the project, before the decision is announced. That could be later this year or early next year.
