North Union staff to see 11% raise over next three years

North Union School Board negotiated an 11% increase in salary for staff over the next three years.

At a special meeting last week, the board entered into executive session to negotiate contracts as part of their three-year cycle.

Superintendent Justin Ufferman said they arrived at a decision that would benefit both teachers and non-certified staff.

“We were able to negotiate 11% over three years. The first year would be 6% (then) 2.5% and 2.5% for the next (two) years,” Ufferman said.

He said non-certified staff includes positions such as custodians and secretaries, who Ufferman said will received a “dollar, dollar, dollar” increase on their hourly wages for the next three ye…
