Charges stem from senior scams

A Bellefontaine man could be facing more than a decade in prison after allegedly running a scam business.

The Union County Grand Jury has indicted Michael David Dodd, 62, charging him with one count each of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, theft and theft from an individual in a protected class.

According to court documents, Dodd would tell individuals he ran a company known as “MD Concrete.”

“Dodd offered concrete services to consumers in Union County using the business,” according to court documents.

In November 2024, Dodd was hired to complete a patio for an individual.
