Baldwin case bogs down again

The legal battle of former Union County Humane Agent Steffan Baldwin could continue to drag on for a while.
In a journal entry filed Sunday, Judge Daniel T. Hogan ordered the state to provide additional information about a disciplinary action against the lead investigator in the case, Detective Jim Conroy of the Campbell Police Department.
Baldwin, 43, whose court-listed address is 3235 Trout Creek Ct., St. Augustine, Florida, is accused of 39 felonies charges including 13 counts of cruelty to animals, one count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, one count of bribery, 15 counts of telecommunications fraud, six counts of tampering with records, one…
