Council news

At the July 10 Unionville Center Village Council meeting, Fiscal Officer Lynford Schrock distributed the June financial reports. The village received another restitution check from Christa Williams of $696 in July. Williams is the former fiscal officer who embezzled funds from the village.

Mayor Larry Burchett is planning to get some quotes from the Union County Engineer to patch some potholes.

Burchett attended a meeting, on June 26 with the Union County Commissioners, about a proposed electricity government aggregation program for Union County. He explained how the program would work. Union County will need to pass this through a ballot initiative and each municipality will need to …
