August 7:

According to an order recently issued by the Interstate Commerce commission, Richwood is placed in the zone to be governed by Eastern time. Most of Union county is included in the zone. The ruling will place over half of Union county in the Eastern time zone. Broadway, Summersville, York, Byhalia, Richwood, Pharisburg, Magnetic Springs, New Dover, Watkins, New California, Jerome, Claiborne, Raymond, Lunda, and other towns east of the New York Central are included in the commission’s order to change to Eastern time at 2 a.m. on August 31.
