Commissioners considering public comments policy

The Union County Commissioners are considering the implementation of a public comments policy for visitors looking to speak during the board’s weekly meetings.

While visitors who attend the regular Wednesday sessions are always given a chance to speak, there is no formal policy on when or how long. Meeting agendas typically don’t feature a public comments section but the board will open the floor to visitors between regular session items and let them comment or ask questions.
